  2. Kim says:

The mishnah is not the same as the Law of Moses given to Moses by God Himself written by the finger of God….The mishnah is the man made laws of the rabbis which they wrote around the Law of God….if all we have to do is say a sinners prayer then consider the following….from 1 John 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

7 Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.

8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.

How do we reconcile the above and what does it mean to be born again? Those early believers did not have the new testament…they only had the old testament….why did Jesus say “It is written” over and over again….he made constant reference to the old testament and so did Paul….also consider the following:

Proverbs 7:1My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.

Proverbs 7:2 Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.

Isaiah 48:18 O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:

    Daniel 9:4 And I prayed unto the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;

John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. (this is Jesus words by the way….how do we ignore this…)

    also the following:
Romans 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. (it is through our carnal nature that we do not subject ourselves to Gods laws) That is why we need the Spirit…

1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. (they are not difficult to keep when we are operating out of the Spirit and not out of our carnal man) (old man….new man)

Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

When Jesus was wrought with the Pharisees and Sadducees he was speaking of the man made laws they had built around Gods laws….that is why he was angry with them….they were putting their man made laws and traditions above Gods commandments thus laying a heavy burden on the people….

    Matthew 15King James Version (KJV)
15 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,

2 Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread. (man made … God never commanded this)

3 But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? (this was their tradition…they were leading the people to put tradition above the commandments of God)

4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.

5 But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; (man made: this is not the commandment)

6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.

7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,

8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. (putting their doctrine above Gods commandments….we need to get back to truth)

    In all sincerity and humility…..
