“A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” – Matthew 5:14
Sometimes we don’t want to let people know that we go to church. Or that we’re a Christian because of some of things Christians do that we don’t like, or maybe we’re not proud of this or that in our life. You need to let people know you’re a Christian so God gets the credit for how great you are. And you are great. It’s always the bad Christians, very often, who are like I’m a Christian! You’re going to hell! We need believers who are sane, happy, joy filled, life giving, imperfect encouragers, and that’s what you are. You’re doing a great job. You’re doing so much better than you think. So let your light shine. Let people see in you what they need to see in God. A God who loves them, who cares for them, who’s involved with their lives. That’s you! People need you. What you’ve got is good, and they need more of it. You’re doing great. I’m proud of you. The lesson here – do your best and God will take care of the rest.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank you for loving me and forgiving me despite my faults. Help me to let me light shine and to share your love today. Amen.
REFLECTION: How can I do my best and let God take care of the rest today?
