Don’t Be Offended

“A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense.” – Proverbs 19:11 In today’s world, everyone is offended. It’s getting worse and worse like people think they’re only strong if they’re offended. I’m troubled because it seems like the more educated someone is, the more likely they are to be offended. Whether it’s in politics or religion, there are so many people in the faith that are offended and always angry about every little thing. Being offended does not mean you’re strong. Being offended does not mean you’re smart. Being offended usually means you’re insecure. And when it’s a big thing, it makes sense, but it seems like so many of us are almost looking to be offended.
