Warts and All

“Come now, let’s settle this,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.” – Isaiah 1:18 As we go through life only showing our best and not our worst — just like you would on Facebook — a hunger will begin to develop in you. Now, this hunger can be partially satiated through entertainment, buying some new clothes, having a great meal, having a glass of wine, or doing good things. However, we realize that although we are distracting ourselves from a sense that something is missing in our lives, this is the beginning of addiction and compulsive behavior.
