It Is So
“When Jesus entered the synagogue leader’s house and saw the noisy crowd and people playing pipes, he said, “Go away. The girl is not dead but asleep.” But they laughed at him. After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up.” – Matthew 9:23-25 Do you remember when a bunch of people wanted Jesus to heal that girl and He takes too long? They finally say She’s dead, but Jesus says, Oh she’s not dead, she’s sleeping. She was definitely dead. But what did He do? He said she is just sleeping and it became so. So He says, Rise up and walk, and she did. Jesus shows us what God is like, right? And here you see, Jesus is proclaiming holiness over sinners. He’s proclaiming cleanliness over lepers.
