Proclaim
“God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” – 2 Corinthians 5:21 As Christians, we confess our sins when we come to salvation and we should. But as saved believers, we ought to confess our righteousness. We ought to confess our justification. In Scripture, Paul never tells us to confess our sins. Did you know that? James does one time and John does one time — and those are latter books. What Paul tells us is to confess is our justification. He who knew no sin became sin so that we should be called sinners? No, that we should be called the righteousness of God! Wow! We’re tempted to sin, to harm others, to steal, to struggle with substance abuse.
