“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.” – John 15:1 I think so much of the worry, burdens, and sin that we carry in life is based on one of our deepest fears: being abandoned. Within ourselves, all of us carry the fear that we’re going to be outside of the circle and no one is going to care for us. The reason this fear is so great is that bonding with a loving person is the greatest human need. That’s why every single Sunday at Shepherd’s Grove, we begin with bonding with the person of Jesus Christ. We remember that grace abounds, that in spite all of the what I do, what I have, what people say about me, those things for God don’t matter as much. What matters is that I simply trust in Him.
