Tend Your Soil

“But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.” – Matthew 13:23 Today, we’re going to wrap up our discussion about the parable of the sower with the concluding thought that in order for soil to stay healthy, it must be cared for.   My Grandpa Persley, who lived with us in Oklahoma for awhile when I was growing up, had a garden in the backyard, and he never let anything in our house go to waste, whether coffee grinds, eggs or old produce.
