Don’t Settle for a Shortcut

“God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore.” – 1 Kings 4:29 We’ve been talking about the things that we commonly worry about, and in every instance, we have seen that seeking God’s truth and His promises provides the antidote to fear. This is why Solomon’s request for wisdom and knowledge when he was offered anything on earth was so powerful. Because he understood that every other concern would be helped by knowing more about His Lord, he set his eyes on things of eternal value.
