Marrying Conviction to Motion
“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” – John 14:12-14 We’ve been talking about faith in action and how Jesus calls us as His disciples to do the same kinds of miraculous things He did. However, for many of us who grew up in church, the emphasis has been on ideas, not on motion. While I believe it’s very important to know theology and to have proper doctrine, these things are not the essence of Christianity.
