The God Who Picks Up the Pieces

Chesterton is an English author who lived and wrote over 100 years ago. He published 80 books, 200 short stories, 4,000 essays and he was a literary and social critic, historian, theologian, and debater. He once commented on the fact that he loved fairy stories and that he learned some of the greatest lessons in life from them. One particular observation he made on the subject got my attention: he noted that there is a lot of glass in fairy tales, whether glass slippers, glass castles, glass halls, or mirrors.
