Big Things Start Small
“Who dares despise the day of small things, since the seven eyes of the Lord that range throughout the earth will rejoice when they see the chosen capstone in the hand of Zerubbabel?” – Zechariah 4:10 One of the attributes I most love about the Lord is that He makes small things big. With Him, even the seemingly insignificant events find purpose and feeble people inherit power. To this end, the story of David and Goliath is one of my favorites. Though the odds were stacked against him as he went out to meet a ten-foot giant carrying only a small stone and a slingshot, David knew the character of His God and He trusted that He would add supernatural power to the small thing he brought. With Goliath defeated, the shepherd-turned-king was launched to place of power and prestige that made him legendary; however, the big things he achieved
