Steward the Unexpected

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters” – Colossians 3:23 There’s a common practice in sports that I think we can learn a lesson from in this strange time, as many of us find ourselves at home and forced to take a break from our regular routine. Interestingly, the winning team in major league athletics often gets a longer break between the end of the season and the start of postseason than the rest; they may get two weeks whereas the other teams get one. Though they probably do need the additional days to recover, it’s worth noting that the first time they play upon their return, they often get clobbered.
