The Comforter’s Presence

“Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Messiah.” – Luke 2:25,26 In times like these, I don’t think there is anything as important as seeking regular encounters with the Lord. With so much fear, anxiety and worry, it’s imperative to hear His voice and feel His Spirit’s comforting presence. Though there are many Biblical examples that point to the power of experiencing Jesus, one of my favorites is the story of Simeon.
