Second Chances

“Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, ‘Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?’ Jesus answered, ‘I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times’ “ – Matthew 18:21,22 Yesterday we reflected on the life of St. Nicholas, Bishop of Myra. He believed in providing people with a second chance, which truly exemplified the life of Jesus. Today, I want to expand our discussion on the God of second chances. Many of us as Christians desire to have a heart like Jesus. When we get to know our neighbors, we root for them and desire the best for them. We want our neighbors to have an opportunity to overcome and be victorious.  What’s interesting is when we don’t give ourselves that same grace to flourish. Maybe you’re this type of person.
