Revere the Word of God

“Praise be to you, Lord; teach me your decrees. With my lips I recount all the laws that come from your mouth. I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches.” – Psalm 119:12-14 Around the time of the building of the second temple, a group of influential prophets and leaders got together and they were termed the great assembly. In that group, they decided things like what should be included in the canon of Scripture and what was commonly meant by certain parts of the Torah.
