“He replied, ‘Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.’ ” – Luke 11:28 It is so common in life for us to think that we must reach a certain level of perfection before we can progress forward. Before we can advance toward our goals, we want to have all our ducks in a row, and dot every “i” and cross every “t.” Yet God is encouraging us to go into our community and make an effort now. Too often, we don’t pray with people who are hurting. Our first thought is, “Oh, they will not want that.” We fail to meet people and engage them in conversation. We don’t look for a new church. We won’t read a new book. We don’t do the things we need to do to become who we’re called to be. And that’s all God is asking us to
