Touch the Lord With Your Faith
“But Jesus said, “Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.” – Luke 8:46 Over the last couple of days, I’ve discussed how the Holy Spirit can help you grasp the miraculous world within yourself! The synagogue leader and his wife, along with Peter, John and James, were present when Jesus raised their 12-year-old daughter from the dead. He also healed a faith-filled woman of her bleeding disorder that kept her in bondage for 12 long years. (We see the Biblical significance of the number 12 here.) She is instantly healed when she touched Him. When Jesus felt the power leave his body, he asked, “Who touched me?” When He asks, “Who touched me?” He teaches us that there are two ways to reach, or “touch” the Lord. In contrast, the first way is powerless, superficial, materialistic, and just a matter of going through the motions.
