Pay Attention
“My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart;” – Proverbs 4:20,21 What I want to share today can lead to new opportunities, relationships, and victories in your life. But this gift comes at a cost—your focused attention. Success requires us to be present and intentional. As a pastor, I rarely get to simply sit and listen in church anymore. Many pastors are drawn to ministry out of a love for the church, but in answering that call, we often lose the chance to just receive. Recently, I was refreshed by attending a neighboring church where the pastor gave a memorable sermon. Hearing this powerful sermon, I found myself taking pages of notes—writing down insights, questions, and new perspectives. It’s not always easy to keep up, especially with sermons that challenge you
