“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.’” -Jeremiah 29:11-13

Let’s abandon our outcomes, hold the future lightly, and believe in God that if he can heal my neighbor, he can heal me. If God can rescue my neighbor who does everything right, even though I have my issues, he will do it for me, too. He will remember his covenant; he will remember that he is good. That he’s faithful, that he’s no respecter of persons, that he loves me in spite of what I do. God has a miracle in store for you. He wants you to not compare yourself to others, but instead, to hold the future loosely and to be able to say, “I am thankful that a good God will get me to my eternal destiny. He’s good and I can trust in him.” Tell yourself that today, friends.

PRAYER: Thank you, God, for the future you have planned for me. It’s going to be good.

REFLECTION: What do you want God to help you accomplish in the future?

  1. I pray that God will restore my soprano singing voice. Also, make it possible for me to visit my friends and Shepherd Grove church in the future.
