“This, then, is how you ought to regard us: as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the mysteries God has revealed.”

– 1 Corinthians 4:1

Now here’s the catch – you’re not supposed to help others succeed in order that you can succeed best and quickest. Sorry! You actually have to be behind that person, helping that person, wanting to see that person thrive and succeed. And let me tell you something – when you become that kind of person, everything changes. All of a sudden you become grateful for the success of others. You become grateful for the things you have. Your eyes open to new opportunity. You learn from those who have other gifts where you’re weak. All sorts of things change in your life that gear you to be a more successful, happier, thriving person. And this idea came from Jesus. If you want to be first, you need to learn to serve! If you want to be great, you need to become a servant!

Help me become your servant and a servant to others, God.

Have you seen your life change once you began to serve others?
