Faith is demonstrated through action! I believe action is a sign of spiritual maturity. When God instructed the Israelites to cross the Jordan River, they faced a raging current, unlike when He parted the Red Sea. They stepped in, uncertain of the outcome, but they trusted God anyway. This boldness is what challenges the world: that Christian faith truly works, leading to real achievements and victories.

I don’t see Peter walking on the water in the early part of his discipleship; only after he had spent a significant amount of time in discipleship does he look at Jesus and initiate the miracle. “Lord, tell me to come to you on the water.” And he does. The bleeding woman spent all her money and many years trying to get well. When she sees Jesus, she says to herself, “If I could just touch Him, I know I’ll be healed.” She believed Jesus could heal her, but she had to take action. Crawling through the crowd was a humble and embarrassing act, yet she touched Him and was healed.

Friend, the amazing aspect of this miracle is that Jesus didn’t initiate it; He was surprised and when He turned He said, “I felt power go out from me.” This woman took action that initiated her miracle. I imagine she was scared as she confessed, “It was me!” And He said, “Woman, your faith has made you well.” Her faith wasn’t just about believing; it involved getting on her hands and knees, crawling and reaching, and forcing her way through the crowd. She didn’t even touch Him directly and was healed. I encourage you today to let your faith inspire you to take action.
