A Spiritual Domino Effect

“So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.”

– Hebrews 10:35,36

Last week I shared that God has called you to not only believe and see, but also to act on something. Believe with your heart first, then you will see. This belief creates a positive domino effect: The more you create and bring out of the invisible into the visible, the more you create confidence in yourself and realize God can help you achieve your calling and other goals. Through you, God can really change the world. He is truly able to make you a bigger person and it is possible for you to defeat any giants you are battling. In your workplace, you can accomplish more. You are capable of leading, making, building, and creating.

We see the domino effect play out in the spiritual realm, too. For instance, during the early Vineyard movement, there was a real desire for the healing miracles in the Bible to occur in modern times. They believed in God’s ability to heal, but they wanted to start small so they began praying for elbows. Yes, elbows. They prayed a lot and got their first healing, and it was an elbow! Then a knee got healed, and then a back. They grew more confident in God’s ability to use them to heal. Life is like this, both spiritually and in terms of achievement.

Friend, with each victory and even a few losses, you gain confidence. That’s what we call a domino effect. A positive effect, that’s for sure! When someone already knows three languages, learning another is a piece of cake, right? Because they already know they can. Let God continue to build your confidence with each success and let the domino effect continue to prosper in your life!

Prayer

Father, help me to defeat my giants and accomplish more.
