Yesterday, I shared the inspiration of Noah’s unwavering faith in following God’s guidance despite the ridicule he faced while building the ark. His faithfulness to God’s word saved him, his family, and the creatures of the earth. His loyalty was to God’s word, not to the opinions of people. Noah stood firm against mockery, fully committed to the vision that God placed in his heart. I want to encourage you to become unstoppable, by letting go of the need to please others. This might include family, extended family, or even competitors. 

Here’s what Jesus says: “Everyone who acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.” That’s a daunting passage, isn’t it? When we read this, many of us focus only on one side of the equation: if I don’t acknowledge Christ in my life, He won’t acknowledge me; He will disown me. And that is true, but let’s also take into account the other side of the equation: If you acknowledge God and Jesus in your life, He will acknowledge you in return.

Friend, acknowledging God—that’s a promise worth considering. This means that even if others ridicule you for your beliefs, God will see you as faithful. I believe that if you are faithful when God gives you a dream, a word, or a challenge, you will obediently pursue it and fulfill His request. It’s important to live a life that pleases God. Be kind to others and treat them well, but don’t be swayed by people’s opinions or allow them to push you around. Instead, let yourself be guided by God. Amen?
