 Jesus loves to call ordinary people to do extraordinary things! He does not require us to attend seminary or get everything right, and we don’t have to learn everything there is to know. He just asked us to trust Him and to start putting our faith into action. Today, I encourage you to get out of the boat if you want to walk on water. You have to start giving away the loaves and fish if you want them to multiply. The only way to walk today is to trust, stand up, and pick up your mat just like the invalid man at the Pool of Bethesda. Do it without worrying about all the other consequences.
Today is the day you can make a difference in your life! Don’t wait for all the right conditions and people in your life to come together. Often, you are waiting for summer and not for winter. You’re waiting for all the winds to blow in the right direction. Even if it’s snowing and cold outside, even if the economy is bad, and even if everything is going against you, you can make a decision today to make a difference in your life. Friend, having a closer walk with God will help you become wiser, and you will go deeper in your walk with Him. It is possible for you to overcome the obstacles in your life if you are hand in hand with Christ. It is true that things get better when you get better, but you do not need to wait for the circumstances of your life to be ideal for growth to happen. As you look to Christ and allow Him to transform your life, things will begin to improve for you. |
Prayer
Father, help me to act out my faith without waiting for perfect circumstances.
