“Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’”

– Matthew 19:26

But when we tell ourselves that all things are possible, we are agreeing with Jesus. When you say to yourself, “I can do this because of what He’s given me,” you’re agreeing with Jesus. When you say I’m loved, I’m called, I’m chosen, and I’m blessed, you’re agreeing with Jesus. When you take a step on the water, when you step in the direction of the thing you’re afraid of, you are living by faith — not by shame — and that pleases God. It opens the doors. It opens up heaven. That you say, “Lord, despite all my imperfections, with you, I’m going to do this.” I’m going to do this. I’m going to take a step forward. God says, “My beloved child, I see it, I forgive it, I know it, let’s go. Let’s do this.” Right? That’s what faith is.

Prayer

Dear God, give me faith. Send me. As long as you’re with me, I will go.
