“But you are not to be like that. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves.”
– Luke 22:26
![]() If you said to Jesus that you wanted to be the greatest woman or the greatest man of all time, how would He respond? Here’s what He won’t do: He will not rebuke you. You won’t hear him say that he’s offended by you asking that question. He won’t tell you it’s silly. The Lord would tell you that if you want to be the greatest person who’s ever lived, learn to serve and serve as many people as possible; your greatness will equal the depth and breadth of your service. Do you want to make a positive impact on the world? Don’t forget to align your goals with the service of others. Friend, let me conclude by saying, “It’s time to deliver!” Continue to become the person you promised God you would be. I encourage you to be the serving Christian you promised you would be at your baptism. Continue to pray for the Holy Spirit to align your heart to serve, and watch God bless your life and those connected to you! |
Prayer
Father, help me align my heart to serve others.
Reflection
Are you a person who considers serving others to be greatness?
