Always for Your Benefit

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”

Ephesians 3:16-19

You know God loves you, right? And everything He does for you, He does for your benefit. Meaning that everything He asks you to do is for your benefit, too. He’s on your side (and only on your side) all the time. He loves you, and He will never stop loving you. Yes, we invite Jesus in, but then He comes in and knocks some things over. It reminds me of a famous quote from C.S. Lewis that says this: “Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He’s doing. He’s getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof, and so on. I mean, you know that those jobs needed doing, and so you’re not surprised. But then He starts knocking down the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make any sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of, throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were being made into a decent little cottage, but He is building a palace. Because He intends to come and live in it Himself.”

Prayer


Thank you, God, for building a palace inside of me. I invite you to live in it, always.

God is rebuilding myself on the inside and out by molding and shaping my thoughts, emotions&feelings about people to loving Christians & non- Christians showing them the love of GOD being a blessing to others and our extended families plus supporting missions ministries giving & going around the World!
