An Actual Testimony You Can Rely On

“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.’ ”

– John 11:25

As many of you know, I love diving into history. I noticed that sometimes we may treat our historic ancestors as if we don’t want to receive their wisdom. We want to step into the role of the enlightened ones. When we study the past, we have to recognize that people back then were not as ignorant as we imagine. In fact, in many ways they may have actually been smarter than us.

Thinking of the people of Galilee, the Jews of those days were especially educated people. I truly believe the testimonies of the disciples when they said Jesus rose from the dead. I believe that the hundreds of people who witnessed Christ being risen is an actual testimony we can rely on. I’ve decided to stop insisting that those who came before me were not as smart as I am. With this being said, I believe that God is doing a good work in your life, and I believe that He wants you to read what I am writing today.

Friend, if you make a concerted effort to rely on Him, you don’t have to worry about your death, and you don’t have to worry about the world as much. All you have to do is draw closer to Him and become more like Him. We can learn to trust in His spirit doing a good work in our lives. Rejoice, He is alive! And He loves you just as you are, not as you should be. He is with you always.

Prayer

Father, thank you for the testimony that Jesus is alive and doing a good work in my life!
