“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
– Romans 8:28
![]() God is calling you to make an uncomfortable sacrifice for the better good. There are invaluable and specific moments in life when we’re called to do something that’s responsible, honorable, life-giving, and meaningful. However, sometimes this can become a really hard choice to make. We know in our hearts we’re supposed to move into these life-giving moments and actions, and we must trust God with our sacrifice. Our sacrifice should never be half-baked, it should never be a half-step, but it should be our very best, and it should be accomplished with our whole heart. An obedient response to God’s call on our life honors God and brings dignity to our being, but also is practical. This undertaking actually is to your advantage and will benefit the intent of that sacrifice. More than likely you can expect a cascading effect of additional blessings that you can’t think of before you act upon what God has called you to do. Friend, I remember and have seen many times where people made big sacrifices for God when it hurt the most, and how much it blessed them and helped other people. Today, I want to encourage you to do that. |
Prayer
Father, help me to have an obedient response to your call for sacrifice. Thank you for showing me how to step into those responsible, honorable, and life-giving sacrifices you ask for.
Reflection
What uncomfortable sacrifice has God placed on your heart to move into? Lord, show me how I can bless and help other people.
