“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

– Romans 15:13

My thesis is that you as a Christian, as a disciple and happy, whole student of Jesus, ought to be a person of hope. You can be the kind of person who lives and gives hope. This world is afraid. It’s nervous, hurried, angry, embittered and full of people who are moving around in silos and bubbles. As you walk forth as a disciple of Jesus, you don’t have to play by the world’s rules. Instead, you can be an example of hope and joy in a very fearful society. You can proclaim the presence and power of the Kingdom of God everywhere you go. You can be the kind of person who believes in miracles and maybe even performs them, in the Name of Jesus. This is because, no matter where you go, Heaven goes with you; Christ goes before you and He hasn’t changed. He does the same things today that He did 2,000 years ago, and He does it through people like you and me! Isn’t that good news?

Prayer

God, fill my heart with hope today and expand my faith so that I can be an ambassador for Jesus wherever I go.
