Make a Joyful Noise
I often talk about Joy. Simple and glorious, unbridled JOY! This Easter season, let’s bask in the light of the luminous joy that God intended for us to experience and was promised to us as part of the resurrection of His son, Jesus Christ! Pure joy is not just something we attain when we go to Heaven, it’s when Heaven is within us right here on earth. What I mean by this is when the Holy Spirit dwells inside our hearts and minds, we can feel Heavenly joy — right here, right now. My friend, there’s nothing we can’t accomplish in His name. When we falter and fail and are dragged down by challenging situations, please remind yourself that God will work wondrous miracles in your life. “I will do my best and forget the rest,” is a mantra I say and it’s worth repeating! If you trust in the Lord, He will bring you a peaceful spirit and lightheartedness to smile again and experience authentic joy.
Easter is a blessed reminder that God gave His only Son out of His glorious and joyful love for you. All love, and all giving, starts with God. The most famous verse in the Bible declares: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). He thinks about you all the time and is looking at you right now, not with judgment or wrath, but with eyes of love and acceptance. You have a Father in Heaven who will always love you. No one else in the whole universe can love you in the same way that He does, and it is an undying love you simply cannot lose. This is a reason to celebrate and know that God wanted us to feel real Joy! You know real joy when you see it. Joy laughs and joy sings! Joy smiles big! Joy celebrates when your football team wins or when you see your child accomplish a great feat!
Think about how much joy you feel when your child is blissfully happy. Even if you aren’t a parent, you are a child of someone. The insurmountable love that a parent feels for their child is multiplied by infinity by the love that God has for us! He watches over us, and He wants us to be gloriously joyful. Every other love can fail — even those who love you best will occasionally let you down. But God’s love cannot — and will not — fail. This love for you is enduring and true. It cannot — and will not — change.
When you truly accept and have faith in the Bible truth that you are loved by God, you inherit a kind of “soul armor,” a protection from and resilience to the pain of life on this earth. I know this from personal experience. Hannah and I have been discovering together that the more we accept and place our faith in the fact that God loves us, the more we find our center and our hope in Christ alone.
This means the difficult things that may happen in everyday life are pushed further and further to the margins, where they can’t affect us in deep or lasting ways. When you are armored in the love of God, convinced you are His child, that He would do anything for you, it gives you a strength, a tranquility, a peace of mind, and a joy that propels you into a life of righteousness.
This is the beautiful message of love you can share with others through your family here at Hour of Power. It’s the same Godly love I want to impart to you and hope you will accept and receive right now. So, make a joyful noise! Share with others what you know and love about our loving Father, who gave us the gift of His perfect Son, Jesus, and joyous love!

I love this season when we get to celebrate the world-changing moment that Jesus overcame death! Because He is risen and lives today, He makes everything in us come alive, too! He speaks new life to our health, our finances, our minds, our relationships, our marriages, our callings, and our hearts! When He went to the cross and rose again, He redeemed every moment of every day of the rest of our lives and called us to a glorious eternity with Him in Heaven. In short, He has given us a LIVING HOPE and there is nothing that can overcome it!
Be encouraged by these words from Matthew 28:1-7:
After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”
Rejoice, today, child of God, as Jesus says to your whole being, “COME ALIVE!” Death has no victory! The grave is defeated and your life is redeemed! Sing and rejoice, for your resurrected King is resurrecting you. He is Risen indeed!
