“Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”
– 1 Timothy 6:12
![]() As we chatted in the tiny kitchen, my dad talked about his days as a champion wrestler and how he almost made it to the Olympics. He said size doesn’t matter as much as knowing how to wrestle. “I can take on all four of you; we’ll do it right now,” he said. We all howled with laughter. But here we are, clearing out the library, testosterone central. Three … two … one … we all lunged forward, and my dad came at me, and boom! He speared me! Then he turned like lightning, jumped to Scott, pinned him right away, and now Chris and Jason are fighting him. He pins Chris, turns around, and wham, gets Jason down! Friend, Jesus is committed to helping us fight the good fight of faith! My dad was up against a thousand pounds of Schuller strength in that library, but it didn’t matter. Why? My dad was prepared and ready. You too, will win in life as you allow God to equip you with this kind of training and faith! |
Prayer
Father, I need your help to fight the good fight of faith.
