Our deepest need is to bond deeply with other people. However, the greatest barrier to bonding deeply is our often unknown or unrecognized deep feeling we are not worthy of belonging, and not worthy of love. There are some things about ourselves that we really like, but there are also all of these other things that most of us will keep hidden — things that we think are shameful, embarrassing, and not worthy of love. But they’re a part of us. |
Prayer
Help me, God, to be able to get past the barriers and to connect deeply with others. Help me to show every part of myself, even the parts that I don’t want to share.
