“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

– Romans 15:13

It’s often difficult to be at peace in life if you’re not at peace with God. As humans, we are vital participants in God’s Kingdom and His whole creation. In everything we do and are involved in, if we are not at peace with God, there will always be this restlessness or something inside us that will try and make God out of something else. It’s easy to find excuses for a lack of contentment. At times, you may even think, “God doesn’t care about me,” or “He doesn’t see me.” Today, I want to encourage you to follow Jesus. We can come boldly before God’s throne because Christ was crucified and raised from the dead for us. He does see you.

So many of us don’t ever make a decision to commit our lives to follow Christ. We find ourselves sort of in between making this commitment. Someone may ask you if you’re a Christian, and you might shrug your shoulders and say, “Well, I think so,” or “Sometimes I listen to Pastor Bobby’s podcast.” In reality, there’s a difference between this and saying “Yes” to becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Friend, I want to encourage you today to make this decision and follow Christ with all your heart. If you take this step, I promise you that you’ll never be the same; by committing to Jesus, your life will change for the better. God loves you more than you could think or imagine. He desires to be in a relationship with you. He will guide you in discipleship and lead you to build a meaningful life!

Prayer

Father, today I have made a decision (or a recommitment) to follow Christ. I’m grateful for your love!
