“For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.”
-Colossians 1:16

We live in the world that God created. All around us is the world that he formed and loves.

All of us experience a little bit of heaven when we’re in some of the most beautiful parts of this world that God created. But, in this world, there is also death and corruption that was not brought here by God. Yet, he still loves this world and still plans to redeem it.

As we walk through this world, we experience through creation what we call common grace, God’s love to all of us. Even if we’re not Christians, even if we’re not religious, there is something powerful about creation that lifts us up and heals our souls.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your beautiful world. It inspires and sustains me. I feel closer to you as I travel through life experiencing your awesome creation. Amen.

Reflection: What about God’s creation most inspires you?
