“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”

– Matthew 4:19

He is risen! Today, we remember Jesus’ sacrifice and give thanks for what he brought to our world.

As I shared yesterday, once we have been caught by the Lord, we can trust Him completely! If you’ve been caught by the Lord, something special has happened to you. You begin to see things differently… you become more patient, and your view of people who have not been caught changes. I believe now that you’ve been caught, it’s time for you to take up the role of a catcher. Seeing the world around me, so many Christians seem to look at it with judgment. But what I see is a world where people are holding out their arms, and nobody is catching them.

So what a great moment in life it is,when the Holy Spirit leads you to bring someone into the house of God, by the love of God. Your job is to encourage and touch them in some way. They can benefit from your prayers and your service. It is not always about converting them or trying to get something from them, but about loving them and trusting that God will do the rest. Remember, Christian love is something that God first instills in us.

Friend, we can also frame this as, If we want to love people, we should fill their needs. Would you like to make an impact? You need to find a need and fill it. Allow this to be an exciting discovery. The key is positioning yourself, understanding people’s needs, and how you can help them achieve whatever they lack! Do you want to succeed in academia, business, church, or relationships? Learn to serve people and make a difference in their lives with the help of the Holy Spirit. The impact of your service equals your achievement.

Father, provide me with the skills I need to help others achieve what they lack.
