Bobby Schuller

More Than A Pastor

Bobby Schuller, the grandson of Dr. Robert H. Schuller, serves as the lead pastor of Shepherd’s Grove Presbyterian Church in Irvine, California. He is also the president of Hour of Power, the ministry’s weekly televised church service, which has been broadcast to millions around the world since 1970. A graduate of Oral Roberts University who holds a Masters of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary, he began working in youth ministry at the Crystal Cathedral and was later called to plant a church. He and his wife Hannah started Tree of Life in Orange, California, which became known for serving the community with dignity and love.

As transitions happened in the daily operation of the Crystal Cathedral in 2012, Bobby was invited to guest preach at Sunday morning services, stepping into the pulpit his grandfather had filled for so many years. After months of preaching at both churches, he was asked by the board of Crystal Cathedral Ministries to become the full-time pastor of Hour of Power in 2013. Prayerfully and with great excitement, he said YES, and the rest is history. The two congregations merged, and under his leadership, they moved into a new home in Garden Grove and became known as Shepherd’s Grove. A fresh season of ministry began, and Pastor Bobby’s down-to-earth, relatable, and Biblically-based teaching style was received well by older and younger generations alike. Now in Irvine, the church continues to thrive under his leadership and reaches more people each year, both locally and around the world.

Also a seasoned chaplain, television personality, and author, Pastor Bobby has been featured on shows such as Canada’s 100 Huntley Street, The Learning Channel’s The Messengers, and TBN’s Praise. Notably, he was the youngest serving chaplain in the Chautauqua Institute’s (Chautauqua, NY) 150-year history. As an author, he has written several books, including Imagine Happiness, Happiness According to Jesus, You are Beloved and Change Your Thoughts, Change Your World. Now an ordained minister of the Presbyterian Church (USA), He serves Christ’s Kingdom with vision, insight, and joy.

And while ministry is very important to him, his family remains his greatest passion. Married to Hannah since 2003, they have two children, Haven and Cohen. When he’s not studying, preaching, or writing, you’ll find him spending quality time with them, whether it’s enjoying a meal, basking in the outdoors, or taking a trip to Disneyland.

There is Healing for You Here...
