“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.”
-1 John 4:16

I think that many people are just so afraid of standing out and standing apart. Yet, it is so powerful when you’re not afraid to be ostracized, to be picked on, to be bullied, to not be invited anymore because you pray with people when they’re hurting, or you share your faith, or you read your Bible at your lunchbreak.

When you put God first in your life, things go better. Don’t worry about offending everyone. Just worry about offending God. And if you do that, you’re going to be much better at actually loving and caring for people when they’re hurting and suffering.

You already are. You’re that person that goes into a room and you change the whole environment. You don’t even know it. You bring peace, and life, and light, and encouragement into every room you go in. When you walk into a space, you actually bring heaven in and people feel it as you come into that room. It’s wonderful.

Prayer: Dear Lord, may I never be afraid to stand out in a crowd for being one of yours. Help me to bring your heaven on earth into each situation I encounter. Amen.

Reflection: Have you ever felt more peaceful by just being around another believer? Describe.
