“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
– 1 Peter 5:7
![]() Are you going through a tough time, a difficult phase, or a challenge you didn’t see coming? Despite doing everything right, everything is going wrong, and you have no idea why. You feel like you can’t breathe, it’s impossible to stop ruminating over everything, and you toss and turn at night. If this is your situation, I want you to cast your cares on the Lord and give it all to Him. In the above scripture, Peter is writing to a church that is going through hell. As a result of their faith, good people are being enslaved, thrown into arenas, crucified, and killed. Despite difficult times, Peter’s writing to the church says, “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.” Waiting is the hardest part; we ask, “How much time?” Peter encourages them: “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” When you feel anxiety in your body, you stop for a minute and say, “Lord, help me with this. I am putting this on you, and I trust you with this. I know your word, your character, and I know what your spirit does. You’re the kind of God who raises the dead, who heals and provides.” Friend, in response to this, many of us would give our anxieties to the Lord every minute, every ten minutes, every fifteen minutes, or at least every hour! But would your life be better or worse if you stopped every fifteen minutes because you felt overwhelmed and put it on the Lord? If you do this every fifteen minutes, your life will get better, not worse. As a result, you’ll be more productive, smarter and sleep better at night. It will be God who comes through for you! |
Prayer
Father, help me to cast my anxiety and cares on you.

Thank you for this message today. I really needed a reminder to cast all my cares on the Lord and I will be doing that every time I need to today and every day from now on. Thanks so much for your encouragement and guidance.
