Bobby’s Morning Meditation

Last weekend, Bobby shared his personal morning meditation on Hour of Power. He mentioned that he was hesitant to share it in fear of promoting legalism in your life, so please pick and choose parts of his routine to work for you — make it your own! However, we think it’s really important to spend some time with God each day, no matter how long it is! Coffee + Water – First things first, caffeine! You need it. And drink some water to rehydrate. Psalm 23/Lord’s Prayer meditation (5 minutes) – The Bible says to “meditate” on the Scriptures 18 times, while it only says to “study” the Scripture 4 times. Reflect on Psalm 23 or the Lord’s Prayer with your whole body. Breathe in and out and let God’s truth move from your head to your heart. Prayer (10 minutes) – Use this time to pray over your friends, family, or anything

From Hannah’s Heart: God is Faithful

I just love the goodness and faithfulness of our God. Because, while we will all have difficult moments in our lives, the truth we can always come back to is that God is faithful to His promise and we can trust Him. In my family, we have a tradition that stirs up our faith before we go to God in prayer: We all share miracles of what He has done in our lives. Then, when we begin to pray, we remember what He’s already done and approach Him in faith, knowing that we can trust Him in all things! We remember miracles like when Bobby began losing his hearing and my mom went before God in prayer. The next day, he was healed! Now, I realize not all prayers are seemingly answered that fast, but it’s so important to keep praying. God is faithful. He still does miracles. Matthew 19:26

Update on Cohen!

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support for little Cohen! Since so many of you have been calling or writing and asking how he’s doing, we wanted to provide a brief update. Cohen suffered a couple of severe seizures that prompted heightened concern on the part of his doctors since he was exhibiting some symptoms he hadn’t before. He spent a few days in the hospital and was released after undergoing a series of tests, including an MRI. Thankfully, he has improved dramatically since then and is back to school and other regular activities. In fact, the day he left the hospital, he wanted to go to Disneyland, and his Daddy gladly obliged! Here are a few things you can be in prayer for moving forward: –God is our healer! Please continue to pray for complete health and restoration for Cohen. –Pray for wisdom and knowledge on the part

Irvine Feeds the World!

On September 14, 15, & 16, Shepherd’s Grove and Irvine Presbyterian Church hosted a three-day, family-friendly service event called Irvine Feeds the World to fight hunger around the globe. In partnership with Kids Around the World’s OneMeal Program, we assembled 50,000 meals to feed hungry children in South Africa. It was a blessing to see so many people from our church family and community come together to help others in a tangible way! Throughout the course of the event, we ran 10 separate shifts with an average of 40-60 volunteers per shift, which comes out to approximately 500 volunteers who gave of their time. On Friday night, students from our youth group and local high school packed 11,013 meals in just one two-hour session. It was truly a gift to see young people so eagerly helping others! Then on Sunday, our congregation put together nearly 18,000 meals after our three
