Choose a Life With Jesus Today

“But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.”

– John 16:13

There is something that makes victory in this life possible, and that something is the Holy Spirit. Each of us will experience challenging and stressful circumstances, whether it be in our family, career, ministry, or relationships. Guidance can be found in Jesus Christ and the Spirit of God living within us. I know there are many people who are indifferent when it comes to Jesus. They are neither for or against Him. Perhaps they are for Jesus in the sense that He seems like a great man. They might even confess that He is God and He’s interesting.

At the end of the day, the ability to choose is the most important thing you can do in your life. There is an aspect of the act of choosing that we just don’t enjoy. To choose takes energy; to choose bothers us because when we choose one path, it means we reject another. However, God is asking you to choose life today. Two paths are always laid before us when we haven’t chosen, and that’s the path of life and the path of death. And unless we choose life, death is what we will inherit.

Friend, I want to encourage you today to choose life by trusting your life to Jesus Christ. His crucifixion and resurrection are enough to make you at peace with God. When you trust Jesus, you feel the Holy Spirit within you that makes victory in this life possible. When Christ is within us and we’re pressed, crushed, pushed and under stress, something more beautiful and powerful emerges, and that is the life of Christ within.

Father, by placing my trust in Jesus Christ, I choose life.
