Yesterday we talked about emotions and decision making. Emotions might cloud your thinking when you need to make a decision. If they do, decide before you feel emotional. So that when you feel emotional, you will choose to do what is right and not what is wrong. Then, your emotions begin to come in line with your choices. So do the next right thing. Just choose to do so. Choose to forgive, even if you don’t feel like forgiving. Choose to apply yourself, even though you don’t feel like doing anything. Choose to say no, when you need to say no, even if it’s hard. Choose to say yes, even if you’re scared. Choose to ask for help, even when you think you can’t be helped. Choose to learn when you’ve got frustrated with the process. Choose to rest when you think you have to work until you’re dead. You have a choice. You always have a choice, and you always have more choices than you think. You have the ability to choose what is best for you. Or you have the choice to do nothing, which is a choice in and of itself. So choose today to do the next right thing. |
