I just heard an amazing story of a young man named Matt Potter. Matt told this story, he said about 30-some years ago, a young, pregnant woman was going through a crisis. She was on her way to the abortion clinic, and while she was going, she stopped by a church and went inside and talked to the pastor and said ‘I’m thinking about aborting my baby, but I don’t know.’ This pastor was brand new to the church, he was young and didn’t know how to handle the situation to try and convince the woman to keep her baby. He calls his mentor, who answers the phone. He says, “I have this woman who wants to abort her baby.” The mentor responds, “What’s amazing is that we have a family in our church who has been trying for years to have children. They recently learned from their doctor that they will never be able to have children.” Friend, these two pastors came together and connected the dreams of others, leading to a remarkable story. A woman gave birth to a baby, who was then adopted by another family. Matt, the baby in question, shared his inspiring journey. Gifted in technology, he successfully built impressive internet companies and apps, which provided him with financial security, allowing him to retire early. However, as he transitioned into retirement, he began to experience dissatisfaction and cried out to God for help. As a committed Christian, Matt then co-founded Pray.com, an app that offers prayer resources and sermons. His testimony is a powerful example of how God can connect dreams in remarkable ways! |
