“For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.”
-1 Peter 1:23

A most important thing I want to know is that all of us are going to play different roles in the faith journeys of our loved ones and our neighbors.

For some of us, we’ll till the ground. For some of us, we’ll plant the seed. For some of us, we’ll nurture the plant as it grows. For some of us, we’ll harvest. No matter what God calls you to do, be the kind of person that is open to acting as a rabbi on behalf of Jesus in the world around you, and just watch how your life blossoms.

Discover how much happiness and joy there is when you begin to allow the Lord to use you to minister to others in these very basic ways. At the end of your life, you will say, “Maybe I didn’t make tons of money, but I made a difference in people’s lives.”

PRAYER: Dear Lord, I ask you to infuse me with courage. Give me the courage each time someone says something’s wrong in his or her life to say, “May I pray with you?” Amen.

REFLECTION: How have you served as a “rabbi” in others’ lives?
