Did God really say you would die if you ate the fruit? Did God really say this? Did God really say that? These subtle doubts are designed to destabilize your faith. But as we discussed recently, our response must always be the same: “It is written.” I hear this from so many of you—especially those who are demonstrating that you’re learning to stand on the truth of God’s Word.

Just as words are the most powerful force in your life, they are also the enemy’s greatest weapon against you. Words like: “You’re lost.” “You’re abandoned.” “You’re alone.” These are words designed to plant seeds of doubt and despair. This is the illusion—the real smoke and mirrors. The enemy’s words aren’t truth; they’re tactics to make you question your identity and God’s promises.

My friend, here is the sobering truth: the kingdom of darkness gains power in our lives when we agree with its lies. When we repeat phrases like “I’m lost.” “I’m alone.” “I’ll never get out of this”—by speaking these words, we give those lies power. Saying them aloud is like covering ourselves in something unclean. The more we speak defeat, the more it sticks to us, affecting our mindset and spirit. The good news is, we are not powerless. When we choose to believe and declare the positive truth of God’s Word, we align ourselves with His promises and His reality for our lives.
