 I remember sitting in the Crystal Cathedral, I heard Reverend Dr. Tony Campolo, make one of the most brilliant statements. He said, “I do not want to tiptoe through life only to arrive safely at my death.” That’s no way to live! There’s a considerable cost to giving into your fears or kicking the can down the road and just allowing life to happen.
As the late great American entrepreneur, author, and motivational speaker Jim Rohn said, “Wait till they send you the bill for that one.” Wait till they send you the bill for not investing in yourself, not pursuing your dream, or not becoming all you could have become. It’s a steep invoice and expensive accounting. It costs a lot to put your head in the sand, roll over in bed, go back to sleep, and bury your talent in the dirt forever. Did you know that it’s ok to press into your dreams and goals? Many of you have arrived on the shore of your dream, goal, or where God’s supposed to send you, and when things get tough, you get back on the ship and go home. Friend, it’s time to face the challenges, embrace discomfort, and push through some tough times. This all indicates that you are not living your life from a place of safety. Permit yourself to buy a plane ticket to that place you said you would go, and do it now! And when the ticket agent asks, “Do you want a refundable ticket?” You tell them no! No refunds are necessary, you have prepared for the adventure. You may need to take the risk by planning one of your dreams in a way that there’s no going back. It’s you and the Lord. You can always trust Him to bring you through. |

Father, help me face challenges and embrace the discomfort necessary to realize my dreams.

Yes there has never been anyone else. like the bible says in Psalm 118:8 “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man” Amen. this I have learned and lived all my life, since I was a child. I always ask God, before doing anything, He is like a Father to me, considering I was born fatherless. Thanks be to God. Because people have let me down, but God has always lifted me up. Amen.
