That’s why when Paul talks about the armor of God — the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the feet shod with peace for the Gospel, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit (which is the Bible) — you see everything from the front. There’s nothing in the back. That means that the armor of God is used when you are facing your battles. It is so important that in the battles of life, so much of it is just standing your ground or moving forward. Don’t panic, don’t run. Victory is a lot closer than you think.
