Dallas Willard said, “The ultimate freedom we have as human beings is the power to select what we allow our minds to dwell on.” The important word here is “dwell.” What do you dwell on? What do you meditate on? What do you focus on? If you feel like you’re in a rotten place with terrible circumstances, focus on your thoughts and study the word of God. Then, congratulations because your circumstances won’t be that way for long because good thoughts bear good fruit, and bad thoughts bear bad fruit.

Thank you, God, for your Word. Your Word is good and your Word is true. Help me to dwell on truth as I harvest good thoughts that will turn into good fruit.
