““But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.”
– John 3:21
![]() Never underestimate the importance of effort in our faith. Sometimes it’s necessary to stir up our faith, and we can ask the Holy Spirit for assistance. Being more connected to God inspires us to be more and do more than we ever imagined possible. We can do greater things when our faith is ignited and the presence and power of the Kingdom of Heaven opens up within us and around us. This is the key to everything. If you’re afraid of death and afraid of aging, you’re probably thinking “I’m running out of time to do all the things I was supposed to do.” I think that’s really at the heart of it. Things like, “I didn’t write that book. I didn’t connect with my grandmother or my old friend from high school. I didn’t apologize or reconcile with my dad.” And then your body gets older or you get an injury, suffer an illness, or maybe you can’t walk as well or go up the stairs like you used to. Or maybe you start to feel like everything is falling apart. Friend, God has greater things in store for you! There has never been a time in your life when you have been smarter than you are today. Your experience has never been greater. It has never been easier to meet people. I guarantee you have made mistakes in your life, but it’s those mistakes that make you an expert. Our bodies age like milk, but the spirit ages like fine wine! Understand that the God-given power of the mind and the spirit is much more powerful than our bodies. |
Prayer
Father, help me to walk in the greater things you have in store for me.
